Anyone know how archery will work?

Post » Wed Apr 03, 2013 6:56 am

I recall in Oblivion that I had a much better time with archery because it felt more intuitive. I had to arc my shots based on distance. Simple. Skyrim however is just horrible for archery. If I'm crouched, I have to aim low and to the right because I know my arrow will shoot high and to the left. If i'm standing, I aim to the left because I know my arrow will invariably fly to the right. I have to aim below my targets because in Skyrim there's some kind of bogus auto aim that arcs arrows for you.

Is there any information about how this will work in ESO?

Since it will be a MMO, don't count on things like arc. There will be just range, maybe 40yards like in WoW plus targeting system.

There is no combat style required for mmo's , TESO is using complately diffrent combat style then WoW does.

I mean that you will have comparable bow range, not whole combat system.

From what Ive heard you have to aim AT your target. To me that implies no arcing.

Correct, you don't have to compensate for gravity or windage...sadly.
