Is anyone playing dead is dead?

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 9:55 am

The reason I ask is because I usually play eldar scrolls games dead is dead but because of this I have never finished one of them?, lol. Because of this I have decided to play through skyrim normally. I have died a fair few times so its probably a good thing but I wondered if anyone had tried it or is trying and what your experience is like.

Even though im almost level 50 im still dying atleast once a play session usually lol.

I played dead is dead a while but eventually gave up. You have to be very experienced at this game to make it through. :)

And how would it work? The saves would disappear when our character dies? Impossible.

I wanted to play it that way at first... but... at normal or higher difficulty, eventually you're going to make a bad decision (such as drinking alcohol while playing) and then GAME OVER.

Another reason to avoid Dead is Dead: it limits exploration. For example, I enjoy playing a werewolf, but it takes a while to get used to it, and certainly isn't something you would want to use in a dangerous area if you were playing Dead is Dead. I would have avoided werewolf form if I was playing Dead is Dead, and was unfamiliar with how to use it.

Like hardcoe mode Minecraft... upon death your world gets auto baleeted.
It certainly makes you cautious.

DiD is a very disciplined style of play, too much so for me, I'm way too reckless, I like my Leeroy Jenkins moments too much.

I don't because sometimes I like killing myself for fun. I recently got to the top of High Hrothgar (well to the Greybeards) and I was trying to jump off the mountain and see how far I could get haha.

I don't play dead is dead on any game. I'm too reckless and I like to kill whatever I'm playing as. Especially in games like TR.

This is an interesting concept!
With my level 9 old man wizard guy, I did well to survive, but then fought that dwemer sphere in Black reach and it murdered me lol.

A first playthrough with this game going by dead is dead would be sucide..
Due tot he random nature of the game, in the wilderness north of the falkreath lake, I once bumped into a group of thugs, they killed me. Haven't seen them there since.
