Anyone REALLY tried dual-wielding out there?

I don't see why people keep saying dual wielding is underpowered.

Have you seen the insane attack speed you get with the correct perks and elemental fury combined?
I was able to kill a dragon at level 11~ish with that combination + dual scimitars in less than 6 seconds. You strike faster than lightning.
I'm on hard difficulty.

Yeah, I have a one handed + smithing build going on, and the dual wielding with upgraded weapons is awesome. I can chop through any enemy! Or until the game proves me wrong...

I dual-wield swords with an archer-type, quite effective if you get a sneak arrow or two in first. Otherwise, there's a lot of healing potions for longer battles (trolls). Which of course is what Alchemy is for, right?

it's honestly not bad. maybe a little stronger than 2h if you have enough stamina but you can't block with it.

I can safely say I haven't blocked at all in the game so far - and I'm level 25 now.

I can take Frost Trolls and Blood Dragons in a matter of a few seconds .

Dual Wield with doubled enchantments on both weapons and all the speed perks I could see being OP lol.
