Is anyone worried about Bethesda?

Is anyone worried about Bethesda? Money-wise they're fine but unlike most publishers, they didn't release any games this year. I'm sure they would frame the delays and slight line-up as being ‘incredibly discerning, and games aren't done until there done’ but their track record would contradict that rabble. With the exception of Dishonored, every game they shipped hasn't been ready for prime time.
Over the past 18 months they've scrapped Prey 2, after a failed studio acquisition attempt, and the deeply troubled Doom reboot after unprecedented mismanagement. Both have started over, with Prey 2 being an entirely new game, new direction at a new studio and Doom with new leads at the helm after Tim Willits was promoted out of his creative director position, Matt Hooper was fired, John Carmack left to join Oculus and art director Hugo Martin took over from id co-founder Kevin Cloud.
All is not well inside of Bethesda, as the leaked Prey 2 emails and Doom 4 Kotaku article are evidence of unhappy employees upset with management and the powers that be.
While Bethesda’s 2014 line-up looks stronger than 2013’s, with The Evil Within looking pretty hot, the underwhelming Wolfenstein (check out the ghost town forum) and me-too MMO ES:O have failed to resonate with gamers or critics.
Last year they had a huge success with Dishonored, but we’re caught bullying Human Head Studios (and subsequently lying about it), Inxile, and Splash Damage and tasking Obsidian with finishing Prey 2 without the source code – basically an impossible task. It’s kinda hard to root for them.
Outside of Dishonored, all of their ip’s are acquisitions. They've owned Prey, Doom and Quake for four and a half years and have nothing to show for it. Fallout 4 will be a huge success, but Dishonored 2, Prey 2 (pretentious Arkane Austin version) and Doom reboot 3 are years out.
Is anyone worried? Do folks care how games are made, or is the final product the only thing that matters?

You forgot Elder Scrolls Online. That'll be huge for them. The biggest game of the next generation.

Bethesda's been around since 1986, I'm not worried about them. Their games are often open ended gameplay wise which means they always last longer, where as completing other games like GTA V is a quick snap and done, but BGS games tend to last. People aren't talking much about GTA IV or Mafia 2 frequently, but Oblivion, Fallout 3, New Vegas and Skyrim are still going strong amongst gamers.

I feel sorry I have to point this out but, there have been many Years where Beth has not released a title, and they are still going strong

bethesda isn't like Treyarch, they don't pump out games every year. regardless of how my self and others feel about how those games have progressed and evolved, they do progress and evolve. It takes them roughly 4 years to develop a game from start to finish usually, rather than just rehashing.

Give it up Jack, you aren't getting hired by them.

Doubt it. The new generation hasn't even begun yet, they have almost a decade to make the "Biggest Game of Next Generation". Though it'll be the "Biggest Game of Last Generation" before it can be accurately determined.

I suffer from chronic heart problems. The future of a game company is the last thing on my mind.

I do understand what you mean though. Bethesda isn't going anywhere, especially with how well Skyrim sold. And They have always sold games years apart.

I thought they were ill, i was going to call the paramedics. So its not strange look at Blizzard, you dont see them churning out a game every minute.

I've waited 20 years for a Where's Waldo remake, so yes. The original game was kind of terrible. Damn you, Bethesda! I'm getting tired of your [censored].
