Anypony got foals in their life?

I was wondering how many of the forumers here have a baby arround them often.

I myself and going to my little cousin's (technically she's my 2nd cousin) birthday party today, of course she's not much of a baby now and more of a toddler. But it's kay cause my 1st cousin (her mom) had another baby not that long ago.

Being related to a baby is a lot better than owning one in my opinion, you get to watch them be cute, and do things, and not have to worry about feeding or changing them.

Yeah, i know what you mean :hehe: My brother has two kids couple of years old, and the every half-year visits he makes with them is enough :hehe:

Though i suspect i would feel differently if i had kids of my own

I'll be an uncle soon. I'm apprehensive. I'm also worried about how my sister's husband is going to influence the child. He has some distasteful personal opinions and I don't want him passing them along to the child. :(

I thought the same thing

My cousin had a baby last year. The little one is absolutely adorable, probably because he's a very quiet child and it's easy to calm him down when he starts crying. At least he doesn't drive his parents nuts :)

But then I think of my 10 years old cousins who always - always - wanted me to play with them and God, was it annoying! I guess it would be best if the baby instantly grew into an advlt, it would save so much trouble...

Aye. They can do that. Daughters are better at it than sons though.

The feeling is probably mutual.. babies being afraid they'll be eaten by your eyebrows

Little brother is about 6 months, doesn't cry much and he is constantly hungry. No one can have dinner without him having a bit! He looks like the Michelin man now :P

He doesn't normally cry but when he does it is an annoying screechy cry.

I'm an aunt, and while I love seeing my niece and nephew, I'm always glad to give them back. :) I've also got a much younger sister and brother so grew up helping to look after babies. Never had any illusions about how much work goes into looking after kids!
It's funny, one of my friends is desperate to have children, despite never really being around babies. He doesn't think it will change his lifestyle much. :lmao: He's in for a shock when he does have kids I reckon.

I'd love to be a father, but I don't want to deal with the last few months of the pregnancy, the birth, or the three or four years after it. Adoption may be the best (only) option for me...

80% of babies look like the Michelin man.
The other 20% look like Jabba the Hutt.

My baby totally owns me! It's why I'm not around as much as I'd like to be. Oh. She's pooped again!

(She's very cute, though.)

A lot of my friends my age have babies already, I swear I feel like one of the only ones who isn't pregnant or has a kid. One friend has two kids and she isn't even twenty. Personally I'm not sure if I ever want kids.

My cousin has two new babies, one is over a year old now and the other only a few months old. She has a 14 year old son. She doesn't live close so I've not seen the babies.

I go see my little tep-brother three year-old brother on Sundays, givent that I only see him for a few hours a week I find his enthusiasm for me rather disconcerting. I play with him but surely no more than his parents.

I have a few baby cousins, and I really enjoy playing with them. I don't think I'd mind being a father though, because for as long as I can remember I've always been a calming presence for a baby and I'm not sure why. Perhaps it's something to do with my eyes, who knows. But I'm sure I'll eat those words when I finally do have a child
