Anyway to remove edits to cells?

Post » Mon Dec 10, 2012 12:53 pm

I made the mistake of building an entire town on my Unique Taverns mod. Now I want to remove the tavern edits from the mod and make the town a separate mod.

I already have a Unique Taverns version created before the town was put in, so that one is fine.

I thought that I could do this in the File Details, just flag ignore on the cells that I want deleted and put back to vanilla. Unfortunately this crashes the CK. So I tried to remove one cell and what happened was that the CK created duplicates of all the other tavern cells that I had modified.

Is there anyway to remove all these cell edits and all the NPCs and dialog? I can't risk having loosing the town as I have already put about 50 hours work into it, I have to get it separate somehow.

TES5Edit should do the job.

Have you tried using TES5Edit? http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/25859

I'm not an expert in using it but there is a lot of information available about it.

You can remove edits and cells from Details, but you need to empty the cells first, save the mod and then you can remove the cell references without crashing. It can be very time consuming. Edit would be much easier. Be sure and keep backups.
