Do the bees and honeycomb ever respawn after harvesting?

It seems logical to respawn. Haven't checked back since I first harvested mine.

Yes, but takes a long time.

If you are absent from the house for 10 days it will respawn, as will everything in the house. If you planted your greenhouse out, after those 10 days you will also have butterflies as well as bees.

I just visited the Lakeview house for the first time in a while and it was pretty neat- the local bear was standing right next to the apiary! Sure enough, the honeycomb had respawned.

I had a bear down there as well the other day, thought it strange since I had never noticed him down there on any of the earlier versions. I had not collected the first lot of honeycomb, I was still trying to furnish the place. Usually I rush down there and empty it, and it stays empty after that, so maybe why the bear was not previously seen. Next time it respawns I will leave it full, see what appears.

That butter churn in the kitchen I just noticed also respawns another butter, you would not want to be a heavy user of butter. The milk cupboard in the kitchen maxes out at 7 (one per day) no matter how long you wait.

Do you mean that all you will ever get will be 7 jugs of milk, or that you can get one per day infinitely? Also, when you say everything in the house will respawn, does that include sack and barrels that have food items in them?

One jug of milk per day indefinitely, it will stay at 7 till you go collect them and move them elsewhere, I usually put them in the other dresser where all the food for the oven goes. The cow has not run dry yet, you get no milk for the kitchen without the cow. All the contents of the sacks will I believe also respawn, I spent enough time trying to empty them, but they do not interfere with what you have in them already, you just have a respawning food source. There was more than enough containers with nothing in them, I just leave the sacks and the milk cupboard to their own thing and occasionally collect all the food for cooking, not that any of my characters are that much into cooking. Aussie has to cook up some fancy tucker for her other houses at some point though.

Still moving stuff and decorating, so no chance for bear watching yet. Aussie has a growing list of things she wants to find, so she will be off raiding for ten days soon and all the houses can reset. And I will check the sacks again when she returns. Empty two houses worth, and fill one house lot of sacks up with a known item.

The house is trying to tell me something, I had a display case in the Windstad entryway with only 3 books in it, all nicely spaced out, when it reset it moved them all up to fit a fourth book in there. Would be fine but still Aussie does not have a fourth book to put in there. The books always did move around in that case a bit, unlike the other display cases that are full. I just hate furniture that thinks it can think.

None of the sacks, barrels or other containers reset or respawn contents when the house resets. Your mead barrels will fill again, and your butter churn will give you another butter. None of the stuff on the hanging racks will reset either so no more herbs, garlic or meat from them if you harvested them all.

Edit
Now something strange did happen, Aussie lost all her livestock at Heljarchen Hall, brought the third chicken, and another cow and horse. But when the house reset, the other two chickens returned. They are slacking off though, no egg to collect. I thought that happened last time Heljarchen Hall reset. So not only do my stewards and often housecarl go missing from that house, but so do the eggs.

No sign of any bears at Lakeview Manor yet, collected the egg, but left the honeycomb and the bees in the apiary. Bran stayed outside about 12 days guarding the place, was in the stable with the horse when Aussie turned up. The egg in the greenhouse (Lakeview) nest did not respawn. The hawk feathers on the roof respawned but not the egg, Aussie voiced her displeasure about that by shooting the hawk, she seems to be eternal anyway, maybe the next incarnation will lay an egg.

I've not had the egg in the greenhouse respawn yet either, or any eggs for that matter. I have chickens at all 3 houses.

Your chickens will give you another egg at Lakeview Manor and Windstad Manor when the house resets after being left for 10 days. There must be an egg snatcher at Heljarchen Hall.

It is possible that a fox got your egg, they love eggs.

A little snow fox does hang around, but no sign of him making off with an egg. No sign of that honey loving bear down at Lakeview either, will be claiming the honeycomb soon, no point letting it go to waste, the apiary will respawn more before Aussie next returns.

For confirmation sake the apiary does respawn, as does the fish hatchery.

The chicken egg at Heljarchen Hall will occasionally respawn for me, as will the eggs on the roof, although it is not always a hawk's egg. Maybe some only turn up on the third time everything respawns?

I read somewhere that you need to leave some of the bees behind for the honeycomb to respawn. Is this a definite?

Everything respawns so you are just wasting it if you leave anything behind. I left it trying to attract that bear back, but although he was seen down the hill further, he never came up to the apiary again.

Yes it's two sorts of respawning, its the default cell respawn after 10 days away and it's the scripted one like the milk and the plants you plant on fertile soil. The default one just require you to be away, the scripted ones might have requirements.

Wait, so is there a definitive list of items/containers that have a scripted respawn? I don't want to screw something up.

No containers respawn, but the milk cupboard in the kitchen accumulates milk, the milk added will not affect anything else you have in there. I just leave it empty to get the milk quicker. You seem to get the milk whether you are in the house or not, but not absolutely sure of that. Everything in the house outside of containers or hanging racks will respawn after you are absent for 10 days. The greenhouse nest I have never seen respawn, that is likely a glitch. The respawn time for the plants you have in the garden and greenhouse is less than 10 days, so a seperate scripted event.

In the kitchen wing the cupboard past the butter churn, just opposite the honey, you need a cow to get the milk.
