This is the first mod I've ever released, so please go easy on me. I couldn't find anyone willing to be a test volunteer, so I'm insanely nervous that I've done something dumb like mess up the texture paths and I'll come back in the morning to a thread full of people telling me I need to go back to mod school before I think I can play with the real modders.
If it does happen that I've erred somewhere, I'd appreciate a nicely-worded heads up so I can fix it before everyone laughs at me.
Well, here goes.
This mod places two apple trees near the village of Riverwood. The apples are fully separate from the trees, meaning that you can pluck them off, or even shoot them off with arrows. It was inspired by the Qarl's Harvest mod from Oblivion. The apples on the trees are regular vanilla apples, so you can eat them, cook with them, and they work just fine with whatever "needs" mod you may have.
About the only issue is that because the apples are fully Havok'd, they tend to fall off the trees when bumped, which can happen whether the player is right there or not. But that happens in real life, too! I should also mention that as it turns out, apples in Skyrim are not particularly bouyant -- both trees are located nearby the water, so if you shoot down an apple and it happens to roll into the stream, it will sink and roll along the bottom.
I intend to populate more of southern Skyrim with apple trees in the near future. I just wanted to make sure this worked for everyone first, and that I didn't make any mistakes before I go and compound them.
