Approach to Skill Books

I recently started a new character...there's something about those early levels when everything is dangerous, and you're thrilled to find a Ring of Minor Illusion even if you don't have any Illusion spells or nervous about trying an Adept lock that's so much fun.

Anyway, I was surprised at how many skill books I found before level 10. I was reading them as I went but then thought that maybe I shouldn't read any more until higher levels when it's tougher to level up.

What's your approach to them? Do you read them as you find them or hold off?

Not being a powergamer, I read them as I find them.

I read every book I find, never knowing until I open it if its a skill or a quest book. Or just a good book.
