Indeed, even if many of them are double registers, it's still a lot :)

They should have announced it for a 14-14-14 release. Then sit back and witness the confusion.

How do you even know what stage they are at in development? They maybe much further along then you are expecting. Otherwise you do know and are posting stuff you shouldn't be posting.

Just try to keep looking forward to this being a sign that console beta is coming really soon. I guesstimate console open beta will start as PC launches their version, so yeah you get it shortly after but you'll be playing it soon enough. Silver lining and all.

Maybe Open Beta will begin on the anniversary of Arena instead?

Still, why don't they release both versions around the same time?

Aren't PS4 having a disadvantage this way? Well I'm playing on pc anyways.

1. I personally think a staggered release is smarter, it allows them to manage any issues that happen at launch easier without having to spread staff thinly across all of the platforms. Not all problems that might appear on one will require the same fix or even happen on another. Also why make one version of the game wait when its ready when another isn't?

2. Disadvantage how? They're on their own megaserver, totally separate from PC. If anything it gives them an advantage in the form of having online material to look up on a whim that the PC playerbase has collected in the last month.

It is gave and take -- for Skyrim, Xbox users where the beta testers for early content, It is now the PC users are the beta testers for the consoles users. It seems fair to me. Like Carde said, it is a smart move on ZOS's part to spread out the release load on the systems.

So ... not the year to plan on doing a last minute tax return. ;-)

Four months to complete WoW detox and the Skyrim main quest. ZOS may be ready by April, but I'm not so sure about me. I also have a lot of chanting of "Play it in the way that's fun for you, not the way someone else thinks you're supposed to" to do.

That was pretty fantastic.

Did the trailer give anyone else a Game of Thrones vibe? My one complaint is that once the two sides clashed, I suddenly couldn't tell who was who. Hopefully there's a UI element to help you pick enemies out of the crowd; that won't make the minimal-UI-immersionists happy, but what else are they going to do, make you put on a uniform when you go to Cyrodiil?

The narrator sounds like Robb Stark (Richard Madden), so maybe thats where the vibe comes from.

Wait...so not everyone got the t-shirt on sign-up? I thought all DC players had to wear "Brovenant 4 EVA"?

We'll just call it "Game of Ruby Throne".

More than likely, there is some mechanism that allows players to differentiate between friend from foe out on the battlefield.

I think name plates are toggled off, and they would probably different colours?

If not, there might be problems recognizing who's who indeed. :)

What I like about the video is the 3D map of the world. I will like to find a map that show the land and hills in 3D, topography map.
