*Arcane Assassin*

Hello everyone, so i have created a class, Arcane Assassin, it is pretty much what it sounds like, an Assassin / Thief who also has Magic at his disposal, mainly Destruction and Restoration, now i haven't implemented this into Skyrim yet, my first character was a massive mix of Melee, Bows, Stealth, Destruction, Restoration and Illusion... Now this actually seemed to worked.. But i deleted the character at level 9 mainly because i started feeling overwhelmed with everything at my disposal, So i am going to reroll with my Arcane Assassin build, but still needing some feedback.

So.. Sneak is a skill which you don't build on with perks and additional skills? So with that i wont have to think or worry about it as its passive and builds up the more you do it...
Bows are the only physical damage i plan on using...
And Magic wise i am thinking Destruction and Restoration only... So that leaves my Build as:

-Sneak
-Bows
-Destruction ( Possible swap )
-Restoration

Does this sound like it would work, through all levels.. I'm not sure if i am shafting myself by only wanting to use Destruction as the main form of Magic damage as with my Bow i can get two, three shots if i am lucky.. Is there another tree you would recommend instead of Destruction that has equal or possibly a better damage output to make up for only using Bows?

I was also SLIGHTLY worried about when i am in much tighter spaces with less room to maneuver, and with not using melee at all, is the reason i would maybe like an alternative to Destro that has more damage but also some roots and snares to keep enemy's at bay giving me time to switch back to my Bow...

Any advice would be appreciated, cheers guys!

Sneak is very much a skill that you not only can build on with perks, but if you plan on utilizing sneak heavily, you SHOULD build on it with perks. In particular, the additional damage bonus perks when attacking from sneak (which I don't believe work with combat spells)

I'm personally finding that bows and destruction don't really work well together. 1. bows are two handed weapons. 2. having any spells active at all (ie one of your hands is glowing), is detrimental to your ability to hide. It is, after all, a source of lights that enemies will easily see.

'm planning on utilizing some of the defensive magic skills to supplement my rogue's abilities.

I'm toying with the idea of a sword and destruction warrior though, but in all likelihood dual wielding and two-handed weapons will be a better option.

Good points, i didnt know about the Sneak and all the perks, didn't take a good look into the stars lol, and about the spells glowing, i open up with bows, so i wont be detected until that arrow pierces the first mob's skull :)

Then i switch it up to kite casting.

Do you recommend anything other than Destro? or is that the best for damage?

Skyyr, that's a great build for an assassin character. For the Dark Brotherhood stuff particularly.
