Archery Kill Cam Appreciation Thread

I love them, I just wished they happened on for actual kills though. I wished they happened for every long distant kill.

Kill cams should never happen unless there is a kill about to be shown on camera. Other than that I have no problem with it. It'd be nice to have a toggle, but it's really no biggie to me.

I dig them. Although I have also had one triggered on a non-kill. It was kinda funny actually.

Not so funny when youre stuck in a cutscene while the dude is getting back up, and his friends are whaling on you. I would be fine with kill-cams if they worked properly. :ermm:

I really like them, I have a Daedric Bow Legendary with 100 Achery. I always get one shot kills. Love the Kill cams and I wished they happened more often. But they should be a certain distance for them to even pop up.

I shot a skeleton, the cam activated, showed it's skull and ribcage seprating from it's limbs flying backward, then hit wall behind it

Also shot a Frost Troll, the first arrow caused him to stagger the second arrow hit it right in the middle of it's head in slow motion :hehe:

So yes, they can be pretty entertaining.

I enjoy them and the magic ones quite a bit. Makes playing a mage or archer more badass.

I love the killcams - nothing better than watching the bandit chief die in slow-mo and fall off of a bridge!

Rashir in sneak mode, not detected, did an arrow, kill cam of the arrow whizzed and hit her dead on. It was beautiful. Otherwise it svcks.

Yeah it's quite fun to watch, even when killing a mudcrab that's 3 feet in front of you. The long distance ones are always more rewarding to view, though. :)

...There are archery kill cams?

In all of my 80 hours of playing an archer I never got a single kill cam. There are very few melee kill cams as well (I dual wield daggers). I thought it had something to do with me sneaking obsessively but then again why would it? I never had a problem with sneaking kill cams in Fallout.

They were only included in the latest patch, 1.5. The same applies for Magic killcams.

That would make sense, thanks.

I love all killcams, especially assassination kill cams. But I've never made an archer and I intend on doing so soon, I enjoy the magic killcams anyways though

Sometimes the kill-cam happen, but the enemy doesn't actually die. (either arrow missed, or the opponent regenerated his health during the time it took the arrow to travel.) Most of the time, however, they don't happen at all. So the few times they actually work properly is minimal in comparison when they don't work or when they don't happen. I could live without 'em.

I like them a lot. Especially the one I got a few days ago. The bandit was so far away I could hardly make him out. I aimed quite a way above the target so as to allow for the dip of the arrow, not thinking I had much of a chance of hitting. Then time slowed and I watched as my arrow arced and embedded itself right in the middle of his throat. Awesome.

I really like them. I've had one freeze on the 360 w/ update 1.5 but countless other ones worked. I think Bethesda should include a toggle because some players are up-in-arms about them but I also think killing a wolf from 6 feet away getting a cam and taking down a dragon at 200 yards or some quest that has 9 plot stops before I run down my target not getting one needs some logic redeified as to when or why they get triggered.

Are the people exeriencing the non-kill kill shots playing on PC? Because I am playing on Xbox and haven't experieced one missed kill cam shot yet. Maybe the worked this out of the patch before it went to consoles.

I love them! I haven't had one yet where the enemy didn't die, though!

I can beat all of you guys stories with the kill cam. So I just got to this Nordic Ruin and killed a dragon, hope you guys know what I am talking about. Anyway, so then I saw a Draugr up on a high ledge so I zoomed in and fired the arrow, and the kill cam activated and it showed the arrow flying towards the Draugr and then it showed the arrow hit him and it went right into his ass and he flew up against the wall.
