architecture of Elsweyr and Black Marsh

Based on the new interactive map not the beta, Just wanted to see what every one els thoughts of the the architecture/ enviroment of Elsweyr and Black Marsh. This is one of the first times Im even seeing how Elsweyr looks. Im not sure.. im torn, I feel like they borrowed too much from real world references for some of there architecture. For example the black marsh clearly seems to have a strong amazon influence. I envisioned more grass huts swamp like settlements, maybe big plant like pods for houses. Same for elsweyer I pictured more of an african pride land look, grass/ mud huts, etc. I dont know I guess I expected there towns to more relfect on there animal/ beast man like appareances. I feel like morrowind at the momment is the only place that has a real unique look and feel to it, and feels more like its in a fantasy game. Thoughts any one?

Could you post some pictures? Im not sure what interactive map you're referring to.

At any rate, I dont see grass or mud huts working for elsweyr. Elsweyr is supposed to be desert and dunes in the north, with more craggy/ravine like canyons and rockscapes in the midlands, turning into a jungle in the south along the coast. If anything, Elsweyr architecture would be more akin to egypt - sandstone as a primary building material, with some quarts, very blocky architecture most likely, and columns/pillars for larger buildings.

After looking at the map viewing the images and reading the various texts, I think it looks very nice indeed, bare in mind not the whole area is there or accessible at launch so we will see a varying of environment styles throughout the zones, maybe for Elsewye I would like to have seen an image of the desert/sandy area too, but I think they looks rather nice, black marsh really has an intriguing vibe about it.

I'm not entirely sure where you guys are seeing black marsh on this map :S however for elsweyr, i think it looks okay to be honest. This is probably because i've read up on lore for the province (mostly Valenwood, which i believe is right smack in that area displayed anyway right?) and i expected a far more extreme jungle. Where trees are absolutely massive and sun light just barely shines in through the trees, although i admit the screenshot for Grahtwood looks pretty nice. Over all, i don't see very much that makes the area stand out aside from that screenshot. Morrowind is still the most unique i would have to agree on that, little dissapointed Vvardenfell won't be included at launch but that's alright lol. Hammerfell and those areas should be cool though, i suddenly want to see a desert area in elder scrolls in which case is leading me to want to try The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard, we'll see if it's not too dated of a game? hah.

Click on the red area named "shadowfen", south of Morrowind. I don't like the Black Marsh art so far. It's too much like Morrowind's swampy areas, the trees are too far from each other. When I imagine Black Marsh it's much thicker and claustrophobic, like this http://www.mrwallpaper.com/wallpapers/forest-tree-swamp-1920x1200.jpg Maybe the inner land will be thicker, greener and less desolate who knows.
