I found this glitch on the Xbox version. Not sure if it's on any other platform.

Whenever I ask Arngeir to give me the location of a word of power, and he gives me the location of the one at Arcwind Point, I can't finish the quest.

After i've learned the word of power, the quest marker stays and no quest completion is registered. Even if i already found that word of power before, he still gives me the quest and i still can't finish it. This also means Arngeir won't give me any other quests until i've finished this one, which i can't.


This is incredibly annoying. Any way to fix this?

What? There is no word of power at Arcwind Point.

There is after you download Dawnguard.

Oh, sorry. I'm on PS3, I had no idea that location added a Shout.

On topic: I haven't had this problem before, but that's probably because I never had Arngeir help me with the words of power. Have you tried reloading to a previous save?

This is a known issue and appearently there is no fix. PC users can use the Unofficial dawnguard patch though. Sorry mate

I've gone as far as starting an entirely new game. It happens every time.



It's easy to release a patch to fix glitches on the console versions. Ubisoft didn't do anything else but release patches to fix the glitches in AC3. I don't see why Bethesda can't do the same.

Third - as noted on http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim_talk:Arcwind_Point, at the moment the quest can only be cleared on PC using console commands

2) I actually didn't know it was added with Dawnguard.

3) I find it less than unsatisfactory that Bethesda can't be assed to patch the console versions to fix some of the more obvious game breaking glitches.
