Still the smallest race, which has always pissed me off because they would be my first choice otherwise.

They don't look so ridiculous anymore, though.

Give them a beard and pretend they're a dwarf!

Always have and always will be, If they weren't small they would pretty much be High Elves or pale Dunmer.

In Oblivion, female Bosmers weren't small. I thought that was weird.

The weird part to me was that the females are normal sized, making them like 4-6 inches taller than their male counterparts. I've just never really been attracted to a taller woman, so role-playing a guy were I'm the shortest person out there, would limit my RP possibilities.

I actually like the Bosmer shortness. I'm kind of the opposite, I'd like to be an Altmer, but their tallness sort of turns me away.

In Morrowind they were also pretty tall. Never bothered me. I just hope the men are less annoying than before.

They aren't small. Look up Dave's interview from RipTen. He described them as tall, and he's a trusted guy.

I saw a Bosmer...he was really, REALLY [I mean really] small...and annoying....And he had the Adoring Fan's voice too x_x

Won't say who he is tho, that would be spoiling.

AFAIK they're about 5' in Oblivion (the females are taller, but I made a mod to fix that). Dwarves (not Dwemer) would be shorter and Gnomes would be shorter still.

Would you really want Bethesda to change the ESTABLISHED lore by making a race taller than it always have been?

Small is good when your playing a sneaky type character.. Ever seen a sneaky giant? This has already been discussed in another post though.

Is it established lore that female Bosmer are larger than males or was that a bug / error in Oblivion?

I've always thought it was great that the Elder Scrolls series doesn't assume that human secondary six characteristics are universal across all races >< I get really sick of the "big muscled male, small sixy female" convention in RPGs being applied to every race... sure it COULD be like that (they're fantasy races after all) but it doesn't HAVE to be, and it shows a lack of imagination >< In the animal kingdom, you get all kinds of variations.

As for bosmer being small in general, yeah, it seems right... they are a sneaky woodland people, wouldn't you expect them to be small? what on earth is the problem with that?

Yes, it's actually established that females are taller than males. Personally I like that, since it makes Bosmer more unique.

This. They looked..... weird. And their eyebrows made them look constantly surprised or something. This time around they look a lot better. And their eyebrows make them look angry or something, not forever shocked by your actions.

Disappointing on the male Bosmer, I could look past being short, and even having unpleasant associations from past games, but to be shorter even than the Bosmer females is, for me, a step too far.

I like how the devs have changes their appearance though -- more gritty etc.
