Are most Daedra quests evil or neutral?

Potential Spoilers.

So last night, I wanted to get Pellagius's hip bone out of my inventory by taking on the Minds of Madness quest. I was also talking to my buds on the phone. Whenever I mentioned what I was doing, and one of my friends, who I got into Skyrim to start with, get's all smug and almost rudely lets me know that Daedra quests are supposed to be evil and that it was contradictory to me playing a non-evil character.

Well for one thing, he was wrong. There was nothing about the entire Minds of Madness quest that could be considered evil. It was a neutral quest all around. Sure he's my friend but nothing makes me more mad when someone calls out MY gameplay decisions and almost telling me how to play MY character. I think he has a little superiority complex going on because he has like a level 81 character, all skills at 100, like five houses, and crafted just about everything you can. Funny since I helped him get all the Skyrim dlc. It's like he thinks Daedra is immediately synonymous with an evil playthrough.

Now to the main point of the thread. So, I know that a lot of Daedra quests can be considered evil, but could the majority of them be considered neutral? I KNOW the Meridia's Beacon quest is also a neutral quest. I'd like to be level with my friend and tell him that the majority of the Daedra quests are actually probably neutral, rather than good or evil, and not to call me out on MY character doing an "evil" quest just because I want to get an item out of my inventory. It's pretty arrogant, actually.

Meridia = Good & Neutral
Sheogorath = Neutral
Hircine = Neutral (In my Opinion)
Molag Bal = Evil
Namira = Evil
Azura = Good/Neutral/Evil
Boethiah = Evil
Mephala = Neutral ( It's supposed to be evil, but there is really nothing evil about it, except the reward)
Malacath = Neutral
Sanguine = Neutral &Mischevious :biggrin:
Nocturnal = Awkward
Clavicus Vile = Evil?
Hermaeus Mora = Neutral/Evil
Vaermina = Good/Evil
Peryite = Evil
Mehrunes Dagon = Evil/Neutral

The Names with "/" between two words represents how it can be viewed as a number of things. From my count though there are more Possible "Good and Neutral" outcomes than pure evil. This could just be how I view things though, but it is my opinion.

That's exactly what I wanted to hear. Thank you. Looks like I was correct about most of them being neutral or based on a certain person's view of good or evil. It seems very little are actually clearly evil. Now I think i can set my friend straight. XD

It depends on how you play them out. Many of them will let you play it out at least in a semi-good/not evil way, but you have to either figure out how to do it or consult the wiki. It may depend on what you concept of good/evil is. Mehrunes Dagon: you can kill someone or not, your choice. But is just working for him in the first place evil? Up to you to decide.

Not sure why the previous poster said the Peryite quest is evil. I would rate it neutral. You can actually go through the dungeon and not kill anyone except the final target if you want. Peryite never explains why he should be killed, though.

The one quest I found that has no way out is the Boethia quest. There is only one way to do that one and that is in favor of Boethia.

The Azura quest leaves me puzzled as to which is the "bad" choice, if any. Do I help Azura? She doesn't seem horrible, except that she is a Daedra. The Black Star allows me to spit in her face. But why would I want to do that?
