I'm cleaning a bunch of mods of dirty edits, and looking out for possible wild edits while I'm passing through. One thing I've noticed across multiple plugins is changes to records that only add the "PersistentReference QuestItem DisplaysInMainMenu" flag.

Is this a thing that the CK commonly adds as a "helpful bonus" when you're not looking, or it is something that's easy to accidentally change with a finger slip? I can't divine any rhyme or reason to the changes I'm seeing, so I'm guessing it's safe to remove these records when I find them, unless there's a common legitimate reason for mods to be altering this?

It means that they're being referenced by aliases, properties, packages, or dialogue conditions. They are not dirty, and they should not be removed.
