Well, if EVERYONE WHO IS HERE COMPLAINING returned their copy of Skyrim THROUGH BETHESDA, THAT ALONE would send a clear message to them. And you know what? I'll do it, because I have no faith they'll patch it. They didn't with Oblivion or the Fallout games.

I can say in defense of myself that I didn't know the problem existed.

I've only actually purchased Oblivion 5th year anniversary collection. ONLY reason I did was because I stupidly assumed, that after 5 years, the game would be working entirely, but nope.

I bought Skyrim ONLY because they said it was on a NEW Engine. Had they told us it was still the same engine but modified, I would've skipped it without thought.

Here's some irony. Gamesradar gave Skyrim Ps3 a 10. Makes you wonder how long they played it before it was given a review. Seems we can't trust anyone.

That article is way too long and self-indulgent, but is he really blaming the fans? I understand supporting a company you like, but saying, "Oh, it's your fault for buying a Beth game! You knew it was like this!" is really stretching it.

I kind of agree with him, since we're ultimately supporting these companies through our hard-earned money (and that's while the global economy is in a recession), the buck should stop with us, right? It's a simple premise. If a company continually doesn't deliver on its promises and we continue to support its products, knowing full that there's a history of neglect, then who's really to blame? The company or the guy entitling the company? However, it's not a flawless argument either, because ultimately not all of us would have been aware of the Fallout 3 bugs, or the fact that FNLV had the same safe file issue. I think in this regard Bethesda has overplayed its hand, while a minority of PS3 gamers would have bought Fallout 3, or even NLV, the gates are being flooded with gamers who want to play Skyrim. By not, fixing their game, and given that Gamebryo and even Creation Engine (which as it turns out now is merely a modified version of Gamebryo and not a new engine), Bethesda has committed the cardinal sin of developers.... i.e. released a VERY broken game to the masses, and with the full knowledge that it is practically unplayable. :brokencomputer:

With a global trend of increased consumer and societal unrest (as we've seen with the Occupy movement in the States and abroad), Bethesda is standing on shaky ground. If they don't know it already, the peasants are arming themselves. They better fix this game, and improve their communication with PS3 gamers. :flame:

Not a save lag bug, but the most notable and most mentioned bug is the Vampire cure glitch bug, which meant your character could never be cured from vampirism, but it also left your game unstable and crash prone. It was actually a feature on both PC and PS3 versions, with the former fixed through an unofficial community patch. The PS3 version is still broken, and that's 5 years of neglect for you.

oh ok, i guess i just never had that because i never explored being a vampire. i think i got it once to see what it was like and then just reloaded the previous save when i didnt want it anymore.

Totally agree with that article. What took me by surprise is the defence of the indefencable that has gone on, particularly on this forum.
