Are Rieklings following anyone else around without asking?

Post » Sun Feb 03, 2013 4:12 pm

I was initially delighted when I found I could have a Riekling pet follower. I promptly chose one, made him my pack mule and we walked happily together until I dismissed him fearing he would just die.

Since then I have been in Vahlok's tomb, Nchardak, and Fort Frostmoth and at each one of them at least one Riekling has shown up to assist me. Once it was at least three of them, they only seem to show up when I get into combat and then they follow me until I leave the dungeon.

I have none of them as active pets as far as I know. And as surprisingly un-annoying and helpful they are I would never have sided with them if even limited forced companionship was the reward.

Since I became their chief, as many as three show up suddenly. Its kind of hilarious.

I've only seen this happen outside of the mushroom city so far, when I was fighting some ash thing.

Yeah they randomly show up for me too. I'm fine with it... assistance is assistance after all.

Happening to me too. They appear during battles at various points.

If you already have a follower with you, the dialogue to ask the Riekling to follow you will not show up. You have to dismiss the current follower then invite the little guy, then quickly get your original follower back. At least that is what I had to do!

I had asked one of them to come and when I FTed to one of Kaarstag's locations I had him and a trio of riekling warriors. Kind of cool especially this PC was not a conjurer and had some extra help for once.

I think there must be some % Chance that they appear during a fight, if sided with the Reiklings. With the follower being a Chief and all, I think the reiklings have your back, Gangsta Style.

Yes, they sometimes pop up out of nowhere to assist. I think it's pretty awesome.
