Are the new weapons level dependent?

Post » Mon Nov 19, 2012 4:57 pm

On the level you are? I don't want to find a shield or Auriels bow at level 26 then by the time I'm level 30 it's useless. Also is this the same with Dawnbreaker? Or if I upgraded it would it go to the same damage not depending on rank. Like if I upgraded it on my level 50 to get it to 80 damage would it be the same as upgrading the level 26 version. Would they be the same in the end?

Not sure about Dawnguard's weapons, but Daedric Artifacts aren't scaled. Their enchantments do the same amount of damage regardless of what level you obtained it at.

The damage they do is dependent on your One-Handed/Two-Handed/Archery for the bow (I'd assume) and the amount you can improve them will be based on your smithing skill.

I know DawnBreaker isn't level dependant. The only requirement of Dawnbreaker is to be lvl 12 to start Meridia's quest. None of the Daedra artefacts are level dependent in Skyrim.

Here's a list of lvl'd gear in vanilla http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Leveled_Items

It should be updated when we find out more info on the Dawnguard items.

Chillrend and Nightingale stuff are the main things to be careful of.

I think I read that some of the dawnguard stuff might be, but it still svcks at level 81 with 100 archery/100 casting stuff/100 in everything
except something like 96 in two hand (since I'm only one hand, was just raising that a bit to help get to 81.)

Any dragonbone/enhanced dwarven xbow/legendary armor that I make is better than artifact stuff, or the dawnguard armor
(with its stupid worthless enchant already on the helm, and shield, as well as the dawnguard heavy set not qualifying
as a "matching set." )

-----------

I started dawnguard at level 81.

Auriels bow, shield, etc still pretty much svck (even when enchanted to legendary.)

My legendary enhanced dwarven xbow, double enchanted with 29 fire and 29 frost damage, with exploding shock bolts,
is just way better.

I used Auriels bow once, after I already gave the head vampire dude a sliver of health left with my normal stuff.

So I don't think its something to worry about.
