You can buy children's clothes although you cannot equip them, they can only be given to your adopted children.

You can buy a Wooden Sword as well. It's fun to use.

Looks like no new weapons apart from the aforementioned wooden sword. No armors, either. They're likely saving that stuff for the bigger DLCs.

The Woodcutter's Friend is a 'new' weapon. Although the actual weapon isn't new.

This isn't a DLC that's combat based. Hearthfire is a home based DLC that adds plenty for that aspect such as home building, new foods to create, making mead, etc. It wouldn't make sense if they threw in a bunch of new crossbow skins or something.

This, why should we care about "new weapons" and "new armor?" It doesn't even matter that much,

I do find the idea hilarious, actually.

Beating a bandit to death with a wooden sword, screaming "Is this humiliating enough? Is this humiliating enough?!"

In fact as I've mentioned in another thread... for the first time I found myself stripping off my Heavy Armour and changing into something more appropriate for the building work I am doing.

I'm actually enjoying riding into town to pick up supplies... seeking out Iron Mines to collect ore... hunting game for trophies.

Great addition to the game that has actually injected more life into "Skyrim" for me.

I agree with you. It's not a combat-based DLC, and for me, that isn't a bad thing. I, and many others, see Skyrim more than action and chopping up bad guys. I do some minor roleplaying in my games but sometimes I get tired of it and ditch the role play, but with Hearthfire, it's making me implement all the roleplaying aspects and techniques back into my game.
