I have the home in Riften, Whiterun and Solitude. The racks in Whiterun work fine, none of the racks in Solitude or Riften work at all, besides the mannequins but even those are buggy. (One was actually not on its stand at all and was just standing in the middle of the room, I though Cicero was back from the dead!)

Anyone else have this problem/know how to fix it? I've tried re-installing the game and even playing with it uninstalled but no luck and I really want to store my special weapons and armor. :sadvaultboy:

Are you activating with the weapon wish to show, equipped?

Yes i've tried activating the rack while the weapon is equipped and even unsheathed but there's just no prompt at all it's like it's just a meaningless furniture item.

Wait, what? I've only got one house and I never knew the racks were supposed to work! Will try clicking with an equipped weapon later.

(this is what I get for staying away from everything Skyrim related on the net when I first got it, I suppose).

I had problem with weapon racks at first too. Seems that they only work if you have a weapon equipped in your right hand, not your left.

oh and the racks in the db sanctuary works fine too, just none of the houses i put lots of money into :cryvaultboy:

I had to ask as you didnt mention doing it in your OP, I think my one in my DB house isnt working either unless weapon racks dont accept staves.

shameless bump because its killing me having okin just sitting in my chest instead of proudly being hung on my wall where it should be

Is it not working when weapon is in your right hand either?

update: bottom room racks seem to be working in solitude, no upstairs racks are working though

My rack in Whiterun worked fine, but the lower floor one in Solitude would only let me activate the 3 middle parts of the rack... also had glitched mannequins where stuff wouldnt show, they would just go invisible except for the head... putting a ring/amulet on them then removing it worked tho, until i leave my house, they are invisible again when i come back in... i cant believe stuff this blatently obvious made it through play testing.. Also... the chest in the Solitude bedroom is backwards... the opening is against the end of the bed and the hinges face out.
