DX10 was pretty much an iteration of DX9, DX11 is a real evolution, just hope it gets implemented properly. Honestly, it's time developers start dumping DX9 and make the games DX10 and 11 only like DICE is doing with Battlefield 3. It's old technology/software, it's holding everyone else back, and people will really see an improvement once a game is coded specifically to those DX versions both in visuals and performance.
DX10 was more of a leap than DX11. In fact most of DX11 was supposed to be in DX10 but Nvidia didn't have hardware in place in time - they biched to Microsoft and managed to get them to scale back the requirements for DX10 classification.
It's pretty much irrelevant, until the next-gen consoles are developed I don't think were gonna see real, ground-up engines based on DX11.
