Are you a robot?

Post » Wed Jul 03, 2013 4:15 am

Has anyone here ever been called a robot?

I only ask because most, if not all, of my friends do so frequently. The cited reasons are that I seldom smile (even if I am really happy) and speak in a very...correct way (avoid slang while using a more verbose vocabulary). I'm also good at math and computer programming. I have yet to grasp the art of decoding body language or other social ques.

Anyways, I wonder if anyone else has been compared to a robot, called emotionless, etc.

I have been and It's annoying as hell. I'd rather be understood and sound robotic as apposed to spitting all over the place and sound nigh-understandable when I talk, which is what most of the people that call me a robot do.... I could have made a joke about my avatar, but I chose not to.

The real question is am I really a robot, or am I a pony who thinks they're a human robot or am I really http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robot_Unicorn_Attack.... Joking aside I've been called everything under the moon but never a robot.

Although I'm very introverted and often struggle with complex social situations, my problem is that I smile and laugh a bit too much. Maybe that's just my defense mechanism when I'm uncomfortable is to smile a lot and laugh at every little joke or gag regardless of how I actually feel about it.

It's not good to be on either end of the extreme though. Smiling or laughing too much can make you look like a fool who can't be taken seriously.

I once got kicked from a dungeon group in WoW after having my humanity questioned. I was in a group of 5 where the other 4 were friends (I didnt realise until it was too late), and one of them was playing horribly and doing terrible damage. I didnt say much because I just wanted to get through it and get my points for completion. After failing to down the second boss due to the bad player dying extremely quickly to ease-to-avoid attacks, I simply said "[Insert Name] has very low DPS. Kick?" The tank in the group said "WTF is Robbio a bot? Not saying anything and then saying that?" which was followed by another person saying "Yeah might be a bot, better kick it" and BOOM, kicked from the group for apparently being a bot.

No. Have a good day.

\sum _{k=1}^{n}\left[\left( \sum _{i=1}^{k}i^{2}\right) \left(\sum _{k_{1}+k_{2}+...+k_{m}=k}\dfrac {\left( k_{1}+k_{2}+\ldots +k_{m}\right) !} {k_{1}!k_{2}!...k_{m}!}\right)\right]

No. Though I have frequently been told I type like Mordin Solus. Sometimes even talk like him.

I pretended to be a robot when I had no friends in primary school. Now I don't pretend I'm a robot that I have no friends in high school.

I know someone to talks amazingly fast that reminds me exactly of Mordin.

But no, I cannot recall ever being called a "robot".

Are you a politician or do you work for a large corporation where you answer phones?

If you answered no to either question then you are not a robot.

Yes, for the trivial reason that only ever seem to have two expressions on my face.
