They are biased and pretentious to an extent, but I'm a film buff and I always like the nominated movies. Don't really care who wins, I just like to see the past years films reviewed and appreciated.

I would if TWD wasn't coming on at 9.
I wonder how bad the Oscars will hurt TWD tonight, or the other way around..

The main thing that bothers me is that it seems nothing besides Dramas/Action dramas can be nominated for best picture and such. Sci fi/fantasy movies only get nominated for things like best makeup/effects. Why can't a sci fi//fantasy film win a best movie award?
I'm not an oscar buff so don't bash me if sci fi/fantasy gets nominated often, but from what I've read of the past years they never do.
