Aren't We Due Another Developer Diary Today?

Post » Tue Feb 01, 2011 7:27 pm

Didn't the first Developer Diary come out ten days ago?
With the next five days later?
So isn't today the due-date for the next one, or was the last diary 2-In-1?
I'm so eager for this game, 3DS hype isn't helping either, so what do you all think the next DD will be about?
And when will it be launched?
Personally I see it either being about real-life places being converted to the Fallout universe, or hardcoe mode, or just possibly the Skill/Perk/Traits that are present in the game.
I'm hoping to see it later today.

It's a lot better than the barrage of videos for Alpha Protocol.

IMO MGS: Peacewalker was the biggest pre-game tease-fest I ever saws.
Waited a full year for that game, spent 175 hours on it.
Luckily I just picked up Oblivion based on recommendation, got F3 for 9$ before I realized I hated Oblivion, put in F3 thinking I'd wasted 9$, got addicted, and found out it had a sequel coming out in several months.
Boy am I lucky.

Did you play the game?
I thought it was awesome.
A little bit of a mind-maze but still a really good game.

To be honest judging the release of the 3rd video on how long it took for the 2nd video to come out isn't very wise, I mean it's no more than guesswork. It would make more sense if the 3rd one was already released and it had been released 5 days after the 2nd one, because then you'd have a pattern, but how long it took the 2nd one to come out after the 1st isn't a pattern.

But you guys should keep in mind that the next Bethesda Podcast will be coming out this Thursday, and if I recall correctly (I could be wrong) they'll be answering Fallout: New Vegas questions from the fans in this one so that's something to look forward to.

I just assumed they would have a schedule so that dru--Fallout addicts like myself could have something to look forward to each week, like MGS:PW did, they had one every Tuesday, so that the hype for that game grew to an unprecedented level.
If they do have a NV Q&A on Thursday then my hype will have dumbed down a little, due to the 3DS' announcement tomorrow, nevertheless, I am counting days Obsidian.
I am counting days.
BTW, that means the Q&A is out on my b-day, hooray.

Short story?
It's meant to be played for it's replayability.
And bad graphics?
Bad graphics?
And you're planning on buying New Vegas?
Contradicting yourself much?

You want to talk about WAITING?

I first played StarCraft in 1998.
I was in second grade.

I just now bought StarCraft II.
I just graduated from high school.

OT: it might have something to do with hardcoe mode, as the UK PC Gamer mag is supposed to run a story about it next week.

Well, the last two Dev Diaries we're posted on the 16th and the 23rd, both Thursdays. So I'm going to assume that we'll be getting the next one on Thursday again (if their is going to be another one?).

Now, the Strategy Guide blogs were on the 14th and 21st, both Tuesdays, so I wonder if we're going to get one of those today?

But I was intensely waiting, thinking about the game, reviewing the footage, gathering all the knowledge (I'm really good at retaining knowledge), I basically was trying to recreate the game, before it was made, in my mind. There is the possibility that you just leisurely waited for it, forgot about it on and off, and in that case I was anticipating the MGS game more than you were SC. I doubt this, but I think that point needed to be made, and it isn't a competition so this post is superfluous....
FALLOUT NEW VEGAS, WHEEEEHOOOOORAAAGHH!

Edit: Cool, so Thursday after the 3DS it is.
Either hardcoe mode, or locations.
I will be downloading it onto my PS3 to see it in full 1080p, even though the actual game won't run on 1080p.

Fallout has awful graphics.

Art Design is more important than graphics, and a game can look very ugly if it has bad art design. People can see this and call it bad graphics. Just sayin'.

Yeah, Fallout did have some bad graphics.
Fallout 2 was better.
3 looked aged and jaded for it's time, but really looked amazing at points.
And New Vegas seems to be only a bit behind linear shooters of today, according to my 1080p high def TV and the downloaded TV SPOT/DEV Diaries.

Of course, but I'm talking about textures and shadows & lightning effects and stuff.
New vegas has awesome art design but will still have the crappy textures and stuff.

Underrated by the press, overrated by the fans.

It's a 7.8/10. 8 seems too high, 7 seems too low.

Forgot about it on and off? I read all 9 books multiple times, all 5 comics multiple times, bought the action figures, bought the soundtrack, and I even spent 4 years writing a fan fiction series, I doubt you anticipated that game more than I anticipated StarCraft II. :whistling:

Still waiting these 23 days for New Vegas is pretty hard. :cryvaultboy:
