Uh, why buy an engine company and instead choose to licence a sub-par engine? Crytek is all flash for sixy screens, but is difficult to develop with. I'm assuming they're going to make Prey 2 for the consoles. How many Crytek games have shipped on the console?
If you're going to license an engine, why not stay with Epic for Unreal 4? At least then you have people on the team who understand its foundation already. Crytek is cheaper to license than Unreal 4 and Bethesda has no confidence in letting Arkane use their internal Gamebryo/Creation engine for "Prey 2".
