Arkane Studios ?

Post » Thu Apr 18, 2013 12:12 pm

That would be something.
I can imagine this!
History driven, choices and consequences, this is something Arkane Studios knows all about.
I can imagine them doing The Walking Dead justice, if the opportunity was there.
What do you think?

Yea, this and the eventual retail releases of Day-Z and The Walking Dead: Season 2 should be all the zombie / post-apocalyptic fix you'll need.

Edit: Oh and Wasteland 2 but that's not exactly zombies.

We've already got a Walking Dead game, and it's all that series needs.

State of Decay is a Xbox Live Arcade title.
Imagine The Elder Scrolls as a Xbox Live Arcade title.

Now what I had in mind.

Yep, pretty much looks like "The Walking Dead: The RPG" to me.

No, it's just a misleading title.

This one looks promising, and it's very sympathetic that they're only aimed for $150k. The videos they've been released since the end of the Kickstarter project is nice as well, thanks for the recommendation.

I'll add this one too on my list, never even heard it before. Being an XBOX Live Arcade title doesn't mean anything, I Am Alive was just like that (even though it meant to be an AAA title) and it's still a decent game.

And speaking of Walking Dead games, everybody who was involved one way or another with that catastrophic Survival Instict should be ashamed, while Telltale Games' own title was surprisingly excellent.

I got a better idea. How about Arkane Studios utilize their talents for something NOT RELATED TO [censored] ZOMBIES! Seriously, this fad needs to die.

Hell, between Dark Messiah and Dishonored, I'm not exactly seeing any potential for zombie survival simulator.

They have been working on Dead State for years prior to the Kickstarter, they just needed the little push to get the main coding time in. I fully expect it to be an amazing game. Not to mention the lead writer of Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines is on it. He did the voice acting of the news anchor in that game, I can tell it's the same voice.

I also concur that the Walking Dead Game by TellTale is probably my most memorable game of 2012. I'm so eagerly awaiting the sequel.

Do people know how to make thread titles anymore? Personally, screw zombie games. They are a dime a dozen already. I would much prefer a Dishonored 2. Hell even that had plague victims which acted like Zombies...

This one has been changed like 2 or 3 times. I keep clicking on it because it keeps changing. :P

As for The Walking Dead? No thank you. They could do it, but it wouldn't make any sense.
