Armor question.

I'm on a console, sadly (man I really wish my computer was up to par; I dearly miss mods), and I was wondering just how the formula for damage reduction worked with armor.

In the old TES games I remember each point of armor meaning a percentage of physical damage that was reduced, with a cap of around 85 or so. In Skyrim I've gotten 120+ armor and I'm still taking damage from physical attacks.

There's nothing wrong with this, of course; I'm just wondering what the exact formula is.

Can any of you PC wizards use your evil Gypsy magic for me and delve into a file somewhere? I'll sacrifice a chicken in-game for you or something, or at the very least I'll say "thank you."

There might even be a smiley emoticon in it for you!

Yeah, now I'm in the 200's and at level 9 I still had to pop my Ancestor Guardian power as well as use a scroll of Summon Storm Atronach to take it out.

What is the formula, I wonder?
