Armour question

Post » Fri May 11, 2012 5:42 pm

Hi, so smithing is mega easy to get up to 100 and I was considering doing this however I don't want to waste my time.

Without any major spoilers can some one tell me if I NEED 100 smithing for dragon armour or can I get it through a quest or just dungeons or anything?

I just really don't want to waste time smithing if I can buy it or find it somewhere else.

Thanks for any help

You get the perk for Dragon Armour by having 100 in Smithing.

You can find dragon armor as loot, though I imagine its pretty rare. The smithing skill not only allows you to make it on your own, but also improve it beyond its default values.

I don't know if you can buy it, but the purpose of smithing is upgrade your regular equipment. It can gives you double the benefits. I think it is a must if you're playing on Master (very hard) difficulty.
