39 left, and then I will put together a major update including new shaders for all of the in-game weapons as well as the new textures for everything.

This way you guys can test out and critique my new shaders in-game for the already implemented weapons. Then I will return to implementing weapons one at a time like I did for one-handed swords.

What do you mean by starting meshes exactly?
just out of curiosity, as I plan to finish sunder and chrysamere today, then do up some concept art for bastard swords
Do you think you could make-up a 2handed version of the Imperial Sword?

If you can modify meshes, I have a lot of little mesh tweaks I'd like to see.

you bet. You want it to look roughly the same as the one-handed?
And if you give me a few examples of what you want to see, I'll take a shot at it

I'm not sure how to do the rigging to get the mesh into the game, but I'm sure I can get help on that :P

Armoury of Tamriel, 0.6.0 uploading to SkyrimNexus. It's a huge file so it will take a few minutes!

Major graphical upgrade
-All currently implemented weapons, Vanilla weapons and "Armoury of Tamriel" weapons are using my new textures.
-All one-handed swords are using new shaders bringing a whole new level of quality to my weapons and their Vanilla counterparts.

.esp changes
-Renamed "Malachite Ore" & "Refined Malachite" to "Raw Glass" & "Refined Glass".
-Reduced ingot material cost for sword recipes. Swords require 4 Ingots of metal total. 3 for the blade and 1 for the handle.
-Changed a couple smelting recipes. Steel requires 2 Iron & 1 Charcoal. Iron Requires 2 Iron Ore.

Other Changes
-Mod description updated to reflect current plans.

Well if you could learn that would be awesome. What I want are mostly minor adjustments. Such as making the Imperial sword a little narrower and taper towards the end like an actual Spatha. The two handed version would just be like that except much longer and with a longer handle.

This may be a stupid question, but is 0.80 the latest version? And is there anything special I have to do to install it, other than unzipping the contents? Say, downloading an older version?

EDIT: Nevermind, read through the file list a bit more closely. I wish it was better organized, however.

I have to test something with the sword, to see if it works. If my new mesh makes it in, I'll post a screenshot of a modified imperial sword(vanilla mesh, me thinks)
Edit: apparently I royally screwed over the imperial sword, so I'm working on figuring out how to properly get the mesh into the game. Will update progress as it comes :P

I don't think anything is at all disorganized except the very long "previous versions" roll, but those are previous versions that exist only for archival purposes, so its organization or lack thereof is irrelevant to most users.

No, what I mean is making 0.52 a Required File, the latest versions as Updates and the rest as Old Files. As it currently stands, all the files on the list are marked as Old and you have to sort through them manually.

0.6.0 is the latest version. It is currently in the process of uploading. SkyrimNexus lists the latest version right on the front page of a mod's description.

Thanks  I am eager to see what you come up with.

Because they are all old files. 0.6.0 is the latest version as is indicated on the mod's page where it says "Latest Version: 0.6.0" and in this topic and pretty much everywhere else.

Baratan, I've got the new sword open in NIfscope. expect a screenshot of it in a minute

there we are. Is that more like what you were looking for? I know the bottom of the blade needs work, but I can do that next, once I get the current mesh working properly

What's confusing at the moment is that there's an archived file called:

http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/download.php?id=12552

but you see that, then you also see 0_70 and 0_80 versions, sometimes authors forget to update the description's version number. All will be well once the real 0.6.0 is finished uploading though.

Looks good. Maybe a little less steep of a taper, and a little narrower at the base. Otherwise looks bad-ass. The Vanilla model just looks ridiculous and unwieldy.

that'll be changed in another minute
Edit: shabam-wider taper now added, and slightly narrower blade base.

If you like this, I'll finish the work needed to get Skyrim to recognize it properly, then put the new .nif file up for download

Here is a good reference image for what I imagine an Imperial Spatha would be shaped like.

I don't know if you still can, but you used to be able to put a background image in blender to use as a reference while working on models.

no idea if I can do that in 3ds max. I've kinda been teaching myself since Christmas
I can try to model that, if you want. Also, be sure to double-check that link I put up in my last post-it's got a 2nd modification to the mesh

It would be nice if it would stop showing up as a giant missing texture/mesh/whatever the giant red diamond shape is :swear:

Edit: Looks like I may have found the problem. apparently I forgot to copy over the new information in the blood splatter maps

Ok Baratan, I have good news and bad news. I think you can tell which is which

http://www.4shared.com/photo/zb_fvEAv/2012-01-15_00002.html
http://www.4shared.com/photo/0bQofPCb/2012-01-15_00003.html

I have NO idea how the heck that happened :stare:
I'll try again from scratch in a few minutes. Right now, I wanna get me some homework done
btw, have you considered keeping what you've already done, but making it into a broadsword? that way you'd have what you've already done as well as the new stuff(once I figure out how to get it to stay in the sheath
and on a side note, sorry about triple posting

Nice looking sword. Not the most practical skateboard I've seen though, would add a real element of danger to kick flips.
