Hello ,

I have 2 characters, one is a Khajit Assasin who's level 42 and the second is a nord warrior who's level 24.

Im thinking of getting Dawnguard after I finish the main questline on my Nord dragonborn warrior but should I be a certain level to be able to join the dawnguard faction and be strong enough to fight the new enemies?

Also do you think that Ive fallen behind playing this slow and I should finish the main storyline and get dawnguard?

how slow or fast you play is up to you, it is after all you who should enjoy the game however you like it

As for dawnguard, you start the quest at level 10, and from level 8 you hear the roumors about them beeing reformed. So both of your charakters are well able to handle what ever they have in the dawnguard.

Yup, the DLC also added Dragonbone weapons in the 'Dragon Smithing' perk. Pretty cool weapons.

technically you can go straight to the dawnguard tower in the rift at lvl 1 if you want to. thats what i sometimes do.
