Arrow shot delay

Post » Sun May 13, 2012 8:45 pm

Like the title says, I seem to have this problem fairly often, especially while sneaking and when in caves/dungeons/etc. I pull back my bowstring, release and the animation for shooting goes off. The arrow doesn't fire and nothing gets hit until 1 to 2 seconds later, when the arrow fires out to wherever I had previously been aiming. It's very annoying considering how often npcs tend to move around when trying to detect you and you would've gotten a kill, but instead just further alarm them because of some crazy bug.

Any one else having this problem or know of a way to fix it?

Sounds like there are other processes at work that are taking priority over your attack. My ideas here are that the immediate environment contains too much for your memory or processor to handle, you have a bad install, incompatible hardware, or your drivers are not up-to-date.

Well, I exceed recommended settings, so I don't think it's my CPU or memory. As far as other issues are concerned, I seem to have almost none of the problems countless others have mentioned, so it seems odd that it would be a bad install or anything like that. I dunno. I hasn't been happening as much, lately. So, maybe I won't have to deal with it very often, until a patch comes out that will, hopefully, fix it.
