ED-E Ate My Power Armor

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 9:57 am

Was scavving through RECONN HQ, found the two BOS corpses. Was heavily loaded, so I used one set of power armor to repair the other.

Then I decided to offload the armor to ED-E. When I placed the Power Armor into ED-E's inventory, I got a message saying something like, "this player can't equip that armor".

I didn't think anything of it, but when I got back to my "stash" locker to put it away ED-E didn't have it. It had vanished.

Has this happened to anyone else?

He dropped it in the location where you gave it to him. Companions can't carry or equip faction armors.

Companions can't wear or carry faction armor. If you put it into their inventory, they'll drop it on the ground. If you remember where you were when you gave the armor to ED-E it should still be lying there on the ground.

It's not wrong, but incomplete. All clothing that has disguise a script also has a function to force companions to drop it.

However, certain companions who are affiliated with factions can wear clothes from those factions.

Boone can wear any NCR gear, but the rest can't. Veronica can wear BoS or White Glove Society clothes, but the rest can't.

Any companion can wear any non-faction armor or clothes.

Actually, Boone and all the followers can wear power armor, *minus lilly*. But only if it says T-45 or T-51 power armor, they won't if it says Brotherhood. The exception is Veronica, she'll wear anything above the DT of her oddly familiar outfit...minus a few branches.
