11.10 final drivers FIX with atioglxx.dll FROM 11.10 preview 3

AMD once again put old build of opengl dll in the final drivers.

after installing 11.10 final you will see once again bugs.

here is 11.10 preview 3 atioglxx.dll
http://www.mediafire.com/?xdajp33ryn9dcey

put the file in RAGE directory, next to rage.exe.

(If you don't trust me , unpack 11.10 p3 drivers find 32 bit atioglxx.dl_
unpack that file with 7zip and rename it to atioglxx.dll an put next to rage.exe)

Yup, works for me

I'm trying this first thing tomorrow.

If it works then hopefully I will see the back of the mild graphics degredation that Preview 3 causes with the Crysis games and the end of the driver crashes caused by trying to load presets.

Well, that worked.

Got everything set on high, although that's not much of an achievement when this is a console port. I do get a few lag spikes here & there, but at the moment, they're nothing to write home about.

What`s wrong with AMD ? Why do they release final drivers that are worse than the preview\beta?

Well, now...yes it really solves all of my texture issues and all blue is gone, but it makes my game crash rather often. I guess I still haven′t figured out the right settings for my system yet.
Maybe an additional new patch can finally put an end to this ongoing nightmare.Loosing patience...

This fix works for me as well. I no longer need to use the preview 3 drivers and the latest 11.10 official drivers from AMD now work with Rage (with the caveat of needing to manually place the atioglxx.dll file in the Rage directory).

My other games now look as they should and I have the added bonus of sharper, brighter graphics in Rage. This is most noticable on weapons where the textures are now much clearer and a bit more detailed.

Well this is confusing to me because the claim has been that preview 3 is exactly the same as 11.10 final. They said its the same fixes. If its true and they put old opengl drivers in AGAIN then honestly just...... wow. Who the hell do they have working over there? Is this one guy working in a garage or something?

Srsly f*** this sh*t.... I haven't even played a F***ing minute of this POS, and the new drivers just crashes me after the [censored] intro video, which I have seen a million times because it's unskipable. The game has been out for almost a month, what the f***...

Since I added the files to the RAGE directory -- I haven't played in hours, had to sleep you know -- but like I said earlier it's fixed the problems at the moment, but this is a quick dirty fix, a stopgap if you will, things need to be fixed on id's end as well, not just AMD's.

This is what I said earlier:

Yep 11.10 and the fix work perfectly. Intermittent micro stutter from Rage in open areas is gone.

I feel very genuinely sorry for people having so many issues...I just count that I'm one of the lucky ones.

not sure about "the old" opengl drivers. with previous drivers (11.09 and all the previews) i have never had blue textures (had other problems). only had blue when i tried 16k textures in cfg file. but my main problem - textures pop-in when turning has never been fixed, preview 3 made it minimal (compared with other drivers) but made the game crash too often and textured didnt load up and save problems - worst than launch day thing. preview 2 makes the game run smoothly but pop-in makes the game nightmare to play.

from amd support page is told that - "Rage - users may experience random texture corruption. Please use the AMD Catalyst 11.10 V3 Preview if you are experiencing these issues."

but i′ll try the fix and hope that′ll work (hope is fools comfort).

There's a CFG file, where can I find it, because the only CFG files I have in a RAGE subdirectory are for controls?

I'm just going off what sleepy said. I'm not installing 11.10 final because preview 2 has run the game perfectly for me so I'm sticking with it until I get a new game that needs newer drivers.

blue textures are gone but pop-in issiue is still there (same as preview 2 and preview 3 drivers for me). at the moment i havent the time to try to play the game to see if the preview 3 crash issiue is still there related to the use of preview 3 atioglxx.dll.

The new driver made all the blue textures disappear, and the preview 3 driver (unlike the earlier ones) removed all the mosaic texture and boxes of random texture. but the preview 3 driver keeps crashing the game with a atioglxx.dll fault message. I have tried to run the game in compatibility for 98/me, and placing the atioglxx.dll file in the rage folder. nothing seems to work. If someone has a solution to this problem please help. I have waited a month to play this game, but I can still only just make it to Hagar's garage before the game crashes on me.

Running with 11.10 drivers with preview 3 atioglxx.dll

Windows 7 32bit
intel i7 2,66ghz
XFX radeon HD 5770 1gb gddr5
4gb ddr3

I wonder how fast AMD is going to fix this blue everything problem. Don't they release hotfix drivers?
