ATI Fix ?

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 5:03 pm

I was tinkering around with my mp rage config files trying to get mp to stop freezing so bad...What i did was took the default.cfg file in the base folder and copied it to the same place so i had two files renamed the default2.cfg and deleted everything inside of it and pasted my config file inside. So its actually reading a cfg file an dnot a text document! My Mp runs smoother then it ever has before now,i am going to check thi sout on my SP also even though that ruins really smooth just a little micro stuttering here and there! So let me explain this

Go to your rage folder then to the base folder!
Right click on the default.cfg file in there > Copy>Paste it in the same folder>Rename it as Rageconfig leave the extension.cfg on there>Save it>copy a config file you think would be good for your system ,from these forums>Delete all the contents in the new Rageconfig.cfg file>Paste in the newly renamed Rageconfig.cfg file and Save it!! Let me know if this works for you guys

My system specs are :
Amd Athlon x2 250 3.2ghz
AMD ATI 5670 1gb ddr5
6gb of ram
Win 7 64 bit

If you want to make a auto exe for rage just open notepad put in the settings you want and name it rageconfig.cfg Then place it in ......

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\rage\base ......single player

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\rage\mp\base .... multi player

Not sure if this will help you but it fixed the low Fps and screen freeze I had w/ Rage hit this link and read the 12th post down its what I used to fix my Rage. Good Luck
