the latest driver is for windows 7 only, and does not work in Vista, and I don't see any indication that AMD or Bethesda cares. so we're stuck with the same issues that were originally posted. Any clue to when we can start enjoying the game without ridiculous config and console tweaks?

Why are you running Vista? Windows 8 is about to be released soon. Everyone should be on Windows 7. If your not, you need to upgrade your computer. Windows 7 isn't as pricey as it once was.

But the system requirements of Rage say that it should run on both 7,Vista,and XP.

right, why am I still on an OS that works perfectly fine for everything I need, and runs every game at high settings? I should dump $100 on something I don't need.

No problem pal. Just stating the facts. If it says "You need Windows 7", you get Windows 7. ATI is for the birds anyway. They have been going down the tube for a long time.

Right now, apparently. Although some of my friends are nVidia users and the game isn't really much better.

I want to get this post in before it's locked, because any complaint topics are being locked..which is funny..because they are completely legit.

I tried posting this three times in other topics but all got locked as I was typing:

I am with you and all the others complaining. I am not one to normally complain about a game...but this game is horrible on PC.

a) The scaling/auto-detect system really svcks..all it does is make the game look horrible, yet still play poorly..even on a high end system
The texture pop-in is the worst I have ever seen in any game, ever..just turning causes constant pop-in and out..
c) Obviously driver issue (as it is said all over the internet), I get polygon or line or bar artifacts that glitch in and out all over the place
d) Whose idea was it to not have any way to change video settings? How stupid.

This won't be locked because it brings up a legitimate concern that doesn't seem to already have a thread which addresses it. Also it isn't ranting without letting us know what the problem is. BTW, discussion of moderator actions or locked threads is against the rules of this forum.
