Attractive male face

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 7:48 am

I can't find a hot guy face anywhere--I've looked pretty extensively. Maybe I'm the only straight guy who wants to look good in this game, but eh. Are there any suggestions? :D

I have a face save you might be interested in. It's nothing great, but I like it. :) Here's a few pictures of him: http://www.invision.tesalliance.org/forums/uploads/1269708081/med_gallery_1565_138_2624.jpg http://www.invision.tesalliance.org/forums/uploads/1269708081/med_gallery_1565_138_28298.jpg http://www.invision.tesalliance.org/forums/uploads/1269484009/med_gallery_1565_138_110918.jpg http://www.invision.tesalliance.org/forums/uploads/1269484009/med_gallery_1565_138_110918.jpg http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee227/jackthehedge/Jasper%20A/Oblivion2008-03-0816-32-13-51.jpg http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee227/jackthehedge/Jasper%20A/Oblivion2008-03-0822-12-21-41.jpg

I've used the face for a few characters (as you can see), and I've found it to be quite versatile.

Also you might want to contact Greenwarden if http://www.invision.tesalliance.org/forums/uploads/1270753138/gallery_80_16_157489.jpg character seems like your sort of thing. :P

I was wondering about the "thing" and then I understood.

I think my poor ability with faces might be because of the crappy vanilla skeletons....is that last pic from Moonshadow Elves, btw?

 Wow, thanks Jack.

The hair is from Moonshadow Elves- the face is not. It's Robert's headmesh resource.

Male faces are really hard IMO.... :obliviongate:
If you don't care about lore/races, "http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20212" Has a really good male race.
That's what I usually use

What kinda guy are you looking for? :) Really masculine and lumberjacky? A knight or paladin type? A scruffy ranger? A lithe rogue? All of these do make a difference in the way a face would look. A ranger is less likely to want to trim his beard and hair while a rogue will want to look really suave and taken care of. It will also affect the complexion of the character. Mages will be paler than those who spend more time outdoors, for example.

Well the best I could do (I made it myself) was http://x3non.com/image/Ataris/16/Oblivion 2010-04-10 01-09-21-74.jpg guy, except for the fact that he looks more like an assassin, not a warrior.

But I was going more for my avatar, sort of a dark, roguish, anime look, kind of like http://x3non.com/image/Ataris/15/DarkBoywithaFireButterfly2.jpg.

Actually, the greenwarden's race looks kind of appealing....

I agree. I'd give green's face a try at the very least! He certainly has a look similar to the guy in your avatar!

Your attempt wasn't bad at all! :goodjob: I expect that beard messed with his body complexion though. I do hate how the game handles that.

Is that why the seam is so noticeable?

Yeah, they need to work on the body hair thing.

Fallout 3 on PS3 they just scrapped the entire face thing entirely. :P

Yes, it does such terrible things to the seams! :ahhh:

I'm glad they seemingly fixed the problem in Fallout 3. ^_^

Personally, I love adding celebrity faces into the game. Each companion I have, I give them a unique face.
You can create face texture files for Oblivion using FaceGen Modeller.
Of course, you'll need to know how to add them in CS, too.

The other option is to download Race mods that come with good looking face textures.
I think the recent Moonshadow Elves look really good. You should check that one out =)

I did. The women look great, but the dudes all look like chicks because of those earrings.

Seriously, what is it with elves having earrings?

Agreed. The Moonshadow Elves make for awesome women, but the males just seem odd. That's the way it is with a few other mods of that sort.

I've heard that http://www.invision.tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/files/file/371-gothic-breton-race-exnemhgec-rm-rf-uff/ can make some interesting male faces. You can have stubble that doesn't cause those insane texture seams. :D

yeah guy faces are pretty hard to get right. throttle kitty made some head meshes that are better suited to more masculine faces but few mods use them except for xenius' race compilation and some odd others.

gothic bretons isnt bad. however you find that you may get about 2 or 3 unique faces out of it before they start looking the same.

i'm using Raven Elves for most of my new characters as they're quite easy to use and have quite a variety of hairstyles already in it.
here's a pic of Eoin, using the basic throttlekitty's (tko6) head model -
http://www.tesnexus.com/imageshare/image.php?id=51858

and here's one of Niel-
http://www.tesnexus.com/imageshare/image.php?id=48762

and a darker pic, albeit without much of a face-
http://www.tesnexus.com/imageshare/image.php?id=46966
which i guess is sort of what you're after.

any way, good luck.

Those are pretty tight, dude, and the last one is epic. I wish there was a spell for that now. :P

Yeah I'm definitely checking out this pack + maybe the addon, thanks.

I once attempted a boy'ish face for the human shape of my young dragon myself and it wasn't actually that hard to achieve something visually appealing.
I started with tk's Head06 and mixed a proper face texture for my custom race with a few attempts until I was satisfied.

The most important part was I aimed for youth and thus I first of all removed the "age maps" completely. They weren't really "on par" with the face textures in quality either, so there was a lot of disturbing blotchyness to get rid of.
Apart from a few tweaks in skin tint of this texture and little playing around with face shape sliders in CharGen there wasn't really that much to do for this face.

I don't think it looks girl'ish at all, but it's definitely boy'ish. ...oh my, what a kind of wording...

Maybe you could check this character savegame on Nexus, pretty good looking, and the save is just before the exit of the sewers, so you can further tweak his looks. Here is the link http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16075
