Attributes in Elder scrolls online

One topic I haven't seen much discussion about is the attributes system of eso.

We already know that it will be similar to skyrim, where on level up you allocate to health, magicka, or stamina. So my question is how do you think you will build your character in this regard? Will you go straight magicka to spam destruction spells down in a huge barrage, a mix? Will there be one way that is superior to others? What do you think.

My other question for the community is about other stats. Should thier be things like magic resist, crit chance, resilience etc? And if so how will it work?

Well, considering that I am going to play an old school orsimer warrior type of character, it will probably be heavily fixated on health and stamina. I am not sure whether I am forced to also use some magicka, to use abilities and such, or if that goes with the stamina bar aswell, so how I'll allocate the atrributes, we will see.

Can't really say until we know exactly how those stats are used in other gameplay systems :tongue: What skills use stamina? What skills use magicka? What does strength get you, exactly? Answering questions like this in a vacuum is pointless :tongue:

Of course there will be one way that is superior to others for any given build. Question is, will there be a lot of different equally viable builds :wink:

When I play a new RPG, I generally allocate my stat points each level according to what my character seems to need more of at that point in their development.

I'm planning a sneaky archer with some utility magic (especially Illusion spells). Don't know whether strength will help bow damage or whether I'll be relying on skills that use stamina, or how much magicka I'll need to support the spells useful to my playstyle.

As for magic resist, crit chance etc, I assume those are secondary stats and derive from primary stats, gear, and/or skillz.
