First off, I think eso not making a server auction house is great step to making a more realistic mmo. But, relying on people to make their own bazaar might not be good in the long run. People are greedy and hateful and try to corrupt whatever they can control by themselves. Eso should have some control of the economy.
I know when this game starts its going to have a lot of npcs that stand around and say they are leather vendors or cooks, but actually sell the same crap and give you a nickel for something you could sell on the auction house or bazaar for a lot more money. Maybe eso could make those guys need actually pelts or turnips and pay a good price, but have a cap based on what they can resell. Maybe they take whatever they get to make something we need. But are limited to what they sell by however many pelts or turnips we give them. Maybe that system could build on itself to where they need people to turn in pelts so the high lvl vendors will have high level gear to trade us. These npcs could work off a demand and then maybe people will shout out asking where they could get good bear leather and people will respond with, "the kajati in riverwood have the cheapest but the nord in ebonhold are never sold out''.
It's just a starter idea. People please build on this or we might have servers that people avoid just because a guild has the market under their control and people can't get crap without paying a high price. Money makes the mmo world turn.
