It's August 3rd and I cannot find the PC DLC on Steam. Someone please explain why.

In any case , the DLC is late on PC and Xbox and the reason is still uncertain.

It'll probably be out around 5pm-6pm Eastern. Of all the DLC I've downloaded, that was the most common time I received them.
Noon on August 3rd does not = NOT GETTING DLC! COMPLAIN!
Try to show SOME self-control and maturity in this "situation" (in quotes because this is NOT a situation). I'm sure it's being worked on.

I fail understand that logic...
1. It IS August 3rd, they still have close to 12 hours (eastern) until the day is over... Granted, it would svck if it is released around midnight, but its happened.
2. It's in MS's hands at this point, they may not have even bothered to tell SD as of yet. They really can't say anything until they've received official word from MS. You don't know what has and has not happened. I'm sure they're just as concerned as we are.
3. Why do they have to spoon feed us every bit of information for every change in the plan? I get that we should have been told about the delays sooner, but this is literally like two hours late. Do you have ANY idea how miniscule that is? And ultimately how whining this makes everyone look?

Just show some patience and some self-respect AT THE LEAST here.

I think some of the angry boys on this forum need to calm down. Especially those that implied that I was angry and/or whining. I'm simply saying, it's been August 3rd for nearly 10 hours now. I would like someone from SD, Beth, Zen; someone in the know... to explain why the PC DLC is not in our hands.

Not that you're wrong about the maturity issue...

It's just I've heard ppl say the same thing many many times to ppl over the past couple months, and they always end up wrong. B/c in SD's case something always goes wrong. After being lied to, yes lied to, by SD saying over and over that things were out of their hands when really it wasn't b/c they failed cert. and didn't tell ppl and pretended not to know anything. I think ppl have a right to be upset. I don't know where you live, but I'm Eastern Time and I've never gotten updates past noon unless it's like ads, or the week's special deal for gold members. 90% of the time the content whether it's game or dlc is on there by 9AM the other 10% by 12PM.

Also yeah ppl do have a reason to whine, it's a good thing! It means ppl out there love Brink and are craving the DLC, it makes me happy knowing ppl out there want it, and get mad if they don't have it. It's thanks to ppl like them who vocalize their wants that help get stuff fixed/made. I used to design restaurants, and let me tell you, in business if you give someone a date, you better deliver, b/c the world doesn't care about excuses or how hard you try, it's whether you get it done when you say it's going to be done, or you lose credibility and money.

Ppl say oh get a life it's just a game blah blah, but when the Saints won the Super Bowl everyone was saying how the city needed them, and it gave them inspiration, etc. Football is just a game, yet the world praised it for how much good it did the city. What if ppl just said to them "Ahh who cares get a life it's just a game!" Everyone's different, everyone takes pleasure, hope, fear and other emotions in different ways. Games can inspire ppl the same as sports, life, music, just b/c games aren't that big of a deal to you, doesn't mean they aren't really important to someone else.

After I was disabled out of nowhere, most ppl just went on with their lives, which is quite ok. However, I lost the social interactions I used to have. Gaming gave that back to me, now I connect with people again, which is very important. So I love video games, b/c without them I wouldn't have much of a life b/c my g/f usually works 12 hr shifts leaving me by myself.

So the next time you wanna say get a life, it's just a game, you're whining, etc. to someone think about it first. Some ppl can't, some ppl don't fit in, some ppl live in the country where there's not much to do or don't enjoy the types of activities available to them. There's nothing wrong with loving a game, yeah there's others to play, but most ppl I know actually only play 2 maybe 3 games.(which is sad b/c there's soo many good ones out there)

To those who wanna sit and whine about stupid crap constantly, grow up, being vocal is nice, but being annoying and a cry baby is not. Yes it's not out yet, yes you have a reason to worry b/c most of time it'd be out already, but untill tomorrow comes, calm down and wait. If it comes out today they're in the clear, they said the 3rd, not the 3rd at some specific time.

P.S. This is not directed at one specific person, I don't wanna start some huge troll war I just don't think every comment is a whine, or some games do deserve ppl whining.

It's one thing to get love something and get angry about certain things, it's another to entirely over-react and CONSTANTLY complain and bash. Complaining is fine when it's CONSTRUCTIVE. CONSTRUCTIVE criticism is what helps things improve, not 90% of the crap I've seen here.
So I can agree that it's GREAT to see people passionate, I do NOT think it's passionate about the right thing, as in; passionate about complaining, NOT the game.

I feel for you and your disability (your terms, not mine, so please don't get all "politically correct" on me. Not saying you will, just covering my ass), I have severe back problems that limits my physical capabilities and thus what I'm able to do outside, but I didn't once say "get a life, it's just a game," so the latter part of your post is irrelevant. I for one love gaming, I have been a gamer literally since when I was in my mother's stomach. She played her NES and Atari RELIGIOUSLY while I was there and she told me I was always so "active" in her when she played. Games have always been life and I'm studying right now to get in to the industry. I've actually been working on conceptualizing and building a game for the past few months. (alone, this is VERY tough and time consuming...)
Gaming isn't just something I do for fun... It's something I do to research, to socialize, to play around, to get serious and competitive (because I no longer can in "real" sports). I know all about being passionate about gaming. That wasn't my message.

I was, however, insulting the overall maturity and complete lack of patience of those speaking out. I don't care if people complain, as noted, but not whine, as I've been calling it.

Freedom of speech goes both ways. And I am allowed to post in here and explain why I disagree. Am I forcing anyone to stop? No. Am I expressing my dislike of WHAT they're doing and trying to convince people to stop? Yes. Am I going to succeed? No.
But I would REALLY like people to see another way of thinking. On the flip side, I would like to see some LOGICAL reason to this outburst of tears. And so far, to ME, I have yet to see that.

As I've said a few times over now, I'm not mad at the complaints in general. I'm mad at the ones over-reacting about the COUPLE OF HOURS DELAY. And if people weren't replying DIRECTLY TO ME, I would probably have just left by now. If you've noticed, the only reason I've stuck around is to reply to people who are speaking directly to me.
I'm sorry, I was brought up with more manners than to just stop a conversation when I want and ignore the rest. I also have more pride than that, which can be a fault at times.

And you're doing exactly as you're insinuating I am - belittling people. I'm not belittling anyone. I'm simply calling out the people aren't mature enough to handle their anger.
