Just wondering if the Aura Whisper Shout actually does anything useful. I got the word of power for it but not sure if I want to waste a dragon soul activating it.
I know it shows the lifeforce of nearby creatures, but... is that helpful in any way?

There's no reason not to spend a dragon soul on it because you'll encounter plenty of random dragons that will provide you with new souls. As for its usefulness, it allows you to see enemies through walls for a short time, so yeah, it can be useful.

Yeah its more a question of which shout do I want to unlock first, and aura whisper isn't really at the top of the list.

Its my most used shout atm for my sneak/assassin char as i can find out where and how many enemies there are around:)

It's my most used shout too.
Confirmed even by that little status screen-thingy.

It's specially useful for stealthy characters. It lets you see REAAAALLYYYY far.

It works better than relying on detect life and detect undead, both of which I have yet to locate anyway.

I detects EVERYTHING that moves for a massive distance.

And it sounds like a sneeze, so it's perfect for sneaking. XD

Incredibly useful if you're the stealthy type that likes to know where enemies are positioned around the next corner.

Wow, never realized how useful it could be for a stealth char. Thanks everybody, gonna activate it - got 6 dragon souls lying around getting dusty.

Doesn't it cause your eyes to glow pink, an effect which is currently unfixable?

If you for whatever reason get a glitch with this shout, you will have to reload before using it.
