Automatron & Wasteland Workshop

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2016 8:53 pm

So, I feel the need to say, I really hope the degree of robot creation and customisation in Automatron will have an equivalent in Wasteland Workshop for Yao Guai and Deathclaws.

Making my robots is great and all, but I prefer biology and ecology over technology.

Automatron delivered some great content (and great XP), but I'd really like to be able to have Yao Guai, and maybe Deathclaws too, as guards or companions; and the ability to customise them would make it exceptional.

You want to put armour on the creatures?

I am not so excited over the second DLC, but something like what you suggest would certainly make it interesting for me. If you can take as companion anything you tame that means you can also get all other monsters and humans with all their respective problems, so I don't think it'll happen. I believe most of the effort is going towards the customization of the settlements, because that's what people requests the most all over the internet and in these forums as well in every "DLC ideas thread" the majority of comments are about more settlement options.

Amongst other things, yes.

Having the ability to add poison to a Deathclaw's claws would be cool, or giving them the ability to be used as hunting packs, that seek out hostile areas and tear the place up.

I can imagine setting a pack of Deathclaws on a Super Mutant stronghold with BoS Vertibirds flying in and just sitting back and watching the 3-way brawl.

Maybe gene splicing, sure, but I doubt they'll let us go that far.

Besides, I prefer Mewclaw.

I don't like seeing animals in human clothing so really hope not. The brawl sounds fun though

I honestly forgotten about what Wasteland Workshop is trying to sell.

It's the least compelling among the 3 for me.

"I'd honestly forgotten about this lemon meringue."

"It's the least appealing of the 3 desserts on offer."

This is what happens when you set yourself high standards, Bethesda.

What, the $5 DLC isn't as interesting as the $10 or $25? :P

I don't want some kind of customization to our critters' physical attributes, but assigning them as guard dogs or giving them armor would totally be cool.

Well, as long as I can dunk molerats in a vat of FEV I found somewhere to create a bipedal, malevolent, subterranean, race of ratmen called scaven who are highly intelligent and tech savvy, although they never get very far in their plots due to their unloyal and backstabbing nature.

And no, I didn't rip this idea from another games universe at all. No sir. *innocent whistle*

As long as this DLC lets us capture and throw Preston and Marcy into a pit fight to the death, I will be happy.

I really don't care about the arena thing, although if the building looks cool I'll build a few. However, more settlement stuff makes me happy.

Marcy and Jun Long need to fight.

I'll create an arena with moving rainbow laser beams and smoke generator.

And put a trapdoor leading to a spike pit on the "victory podium".

I don't want either of them escaping alive.

I'd like to see us able to customize a wasteland creature and make him like our 'Champion' of the arena like how Cait was the reigning champ of the combat zone?

I need to find a legendary mythic albino death claw duct tape some metal spikes to his tail, put a helmet on him and strap a frickin' lazer beam to his head and name him Mr. Bigglesworth. Usurp my champion? They will try, They will try....

Or just fix two severed Assaultron heads to his shoulders and watch those laser beams bring down the Prydwen!
