Today steam reported that the data on my machine was out of sync with that on the cloud server. It suggested that I should fix this. So I clickedy clicked and when I loaded skyrim I discovered all of my quick saves and autosaves were gone.

Mind you, I make a regular save every hour, but the last time I played it gave me a ctd right before I wanted to make a regular save. Although it probably matters little, but I just gathered a [censored]load of blue mountain flowers and blue butterfly wings to level my alchemy and having to do that again would be rather bothersome.

Is there any way I can recover my lost savegames ?
