Autosave turned off, but still occasionally autosaving?

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 5:13 pm

So I've had autosave turned off for the past 4 days or so to help with the lag, but there have been a few occurrences where the game still autosaves.

I first noticed it when I was about to read the elder scroll (without saying anything else in fear that I might spoil something for someone) but for those who have done said quest, I thought maybe it just had something to do with that part of the story, I brushed it off. Then it happened again, while loading the game up I noticed a random autosave, so I quit to XMB and deleted it leaving only my hard saves, I started the game and checked, yup, all autosaves are turned off. Today I turn on the game and there's yet another autosave, yesterday I did the mission "hitting the books" and there was an autosave created just as I entered the dungeon.

Has anyone else noticed this? and if not, can you try to pay attention to see if it might be happening because this could be another bug that's causing the lag and fps drops.

Save on Rest - Off
Save on Wait - Off
Save on Travel - Off
Save on Character Menu - Disabled

Am I missing something?

No, thats the save on character menu option, which you can set you 5,10,15,30,45,60 and Disable.

Regardless, it's not happening every 15 minutes, it's random.

Probably just an autoback feature.
But yes, kinda weird.
