AvA connected PvE

Much discussion has been had regarding end-game PvE and what people want out of it.

I want it to be connected to the alliance wars in some way because I think everything at end-game should be connected to the alliance wars. This is the way I interpret the background story for the game and this is the way I interpret the vision Matt Firor and the development team have put forth.

It's pretty obvious from my posts where I stand on these issues.

The AvA utility/results perks listed would be on timers so that the raid group responsible for obtaining them would need to take advantage of them in AvA within a certain period of time in order to gain the benefit they conferred.

AvA utility results - these would be along the line of opening a gate, removing access to a resource from an opponent, removing an opponent's ability to use a fast-travel way point, etc.

I like PvP and i like PvE but i dont want it mixed. It was cool back in the Days of EQ1 but would not work very well today.

If no Raid is going on i want to PvP and if i want to PvE there should not be any player killing around.

And for the gear: Im not a big fan of PvP or PvE Gear. There should be just "Gear"

The whole of cyrodiil is filled with pve. there are several open dungeons scattered about the province and all the pressure from the community for instanced pve is going to mess up the original design objectives.

I strongly feel that people should be doing their due dilligence for the alliance cause to even access top tier pve areas.

edit: as for the poll i cant vote because the second part. people ahould get materials to apply to gear through crafting "augment materials"

Only if its just one part of the raiding "tier" and not having to rely on AvA for all the raiding. In WoW I did like the few bosses that were tied with a PvP zone being captured and only having access when your faction controlled the zone. That was fine because if access was closed you could still Raid the other instances in the PvE zones.

The content should in fact share the themes of the overall story which is the three way faction war for the Imperial City and the Ruby throne but no, access to the Raids should never be locked off or blocked because of how the AvA Campaign is going.

Yeah the overall concept of the game is the faction war but bottom line if someone doesn't want to PvP they shouldn't really be forced to just because they want to PvE Raid.
