What do mages get apart from the enchanted normal robes? Must be some epic stuff to wear and some epic staffs surely??

Dark Brotherhood robes. Yes, robes. They give you light armor; but there is a complete set of cloth stuff with slightly different enchantments on a shelf in the sanctuary.

Archmage Robes.

now this may be the most epic thing we have but can u honestly say they look epic, especially compared to the epic armor warriors get?

thieves/assassins get the jester outfit
warriors get plenty of awesome heavy armor.
mages dont get anything.

FYI I think there's a hood less archmages robe in the test hall. Unless someone can confirm that the archmages robes on a female have no hood. As you can see here,http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb319/joniscrazy/ScreenShot19.jpg

I think that the Thalmor's Robes are epic.. If not those, the Psjiic's Robes are uber-epic.

Theres a ton of cool robes for Mages and religious types. Its a real breath of fresh air seeing so much wonderful attire for whatever character type i am playing. Its a comforting feeling to know i dont have to wait til the ultra fantastic Goddess Modder known as AlienSlof works her magical arts to create such things for the hungry clamoring clawed masses :obliviongate:

Unfortunately you almost have to take enchanting, when you make a build that either wears clothes, or robes without enchants, and even then there's no shield enchant anymore. The only thing you can do really is up overall health with enchants.

My personal best looking is the thalmor armor.

Classy and badass.
I'm dual wield warrior female and i prefer this to any heavy armor.

Thalmor robes look nice, but not epic. They are low key, for any skill level really. Not a dragon/deadric equivalent.

It sounds like there seems to be a lack. Those archmage robes look horrible, what a waste of potential.

How did you get illia as a follower? She peaces out when her quest is done for me.

Also what is the test hall? PC only?

Please tell you meant to say "if you use the console," because I didn't get his suit while playing on PC.

If the console version has his suit as an item you can get without cheating, I'm going to rage.

Yeah, its PC only, its a place that has one of every item that is in the game, including a lot that are not. As for Illia, I just did her dungeon quest and told her to follow me and hum Cure songs.

Yeah, I meant PC, my bad. http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb319/joniscrazy/ScreenShot3.jpg

I wouldn't really call it cheating though, its not like its enchanted or anything. I just went to a magical world of cupboards. Some weird offshoot of Hermaeus Mora's realm of Oblivion.

Well, it's a matter of personal taste.

I really like the Archmage robes, they seem realistic (Not that http://images.wikia.com/villains/images/1/15/Malekith.jpg type of Epicness) and warm. (IMO)

Im sad there are no sheild enchantments. My last character on Oblivion rocked enchanted shirt and trousers that were better than armor. :sadvaultboy:

Because those fat Nords wouldn't fit into that slim armor.

i was dissapointed by this as well. im wearin archmages robes. have been for like forevvveerrrr now. also dont really like the look of them. not too bad but im an assassin as much as a mage. too bulky for me.

all the robes in this game are different versions of the same thing. something cost reduced by x% magick regenerates x% faster. the only good alternative is enchanting. and i still cant make nothin that really makes me wanna change outta the archmages robes. they just put no imagination into the robes for this game. theres no blue robes that fortify your speechcraft. no red robes that fortify sneak and lockpick. no nothin. if theres really epic stuff out there i havent found it yet..

AND robes and hoods come as one. gayyyyy. except for masks... but no enchanting them as two pieces. all just one piece. almost makes me wish i was a battle mage.
