Awfull noise with specific Save

Post » Thu May 31, 2012 10:13 am

Hey,
since i loaded my latest save with patch 1.5.26 there is a awfully loud noise ever since. It is a effect sound, because if i turn down the effect slider in Audio it goes down as well.
I tried deleting all mods, tried a clean install, deleted the settings, sixchanged my charakter (read about it helping somewhere) but non of that worked.
I also tried using sound mods that change the silence and background sounds with no success.
When i load a savegame befor the one i used since it's fine.

Where could it come from and how could i get rid of it?

Thanks for any advice in advance.

I think it's coming from your speakers.

What is the sound? Water? Wind? Someones baby crying?

Your English is fine - quite good, in fact.

If only your most recent save is affected, it may not be possible to fix. Sound and some visual effects have been known to get "stuck" on a character after a given event (there are various causes for this and they are generally not easily reproducible). The best thing to do is use the most recent save that isn't affected and continue playing. It is also possible that it was caused by a mod when the save was created while the mod was active. In this case, you'd have to identify the mod and talk to the author to report the issue, but again you are most likely out of luck fixing this particular save.

If this problem were affecting all of your saves I would have more advice to offer, but it seems limited to just the most recent save.

Could have fooled me. What are using for sound? Onboard Realtek or a Sound Card(which brand if so)?

I use the onboard Realtek. Output is over Optical Cable to my Surround-Sound System. Never had and still don't have any problems with it. (Tried different Games, Movie- and Audio-Players) So it realy is something with the Savegame.

@Kastagir
I already thought of using my older save, its two levels behind my recent, but oh well. No way around it :) Would 've been nice to keep going where i was...

Thanks y'all

I don't use autosaves so I set an oven timer for about 45 minutes and find a good place to save when it goes off. This method has saved me numerous times as Skyrim can have long luls where you aren't in danger and who wants to go sell all their crap and enchant/craft etc. all over again.
