Backing up saved games?

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 9:00 am

For some reason, ive never been able to get my Steam cloud saves synced. So instead of relying on the steam cloud, id like to backup my saves and transfer them onto a new PC im building tomorrow.

Is there anything else I need to back up besides, the "Documents/MyGames/FalloutNV/Saves" folder?

Thanks for your help.

That should be all you have to backup to restore your character to a new install. I usually just backup the FalloutNV folder (one directory hop up from the "Saves" folder).

The Steam Cloud was disabled early on. If you played the game during the first couple of days after release, you would know why.

The directory you pointed out is the one you need to back up to get your saves. If you have a mod mix that you like, you may also want to back up the install directory, or at least the Data Files. That way after install the game on the new rig, you can just replace that folder with the game you have now.
