I just bought skyrim on steam today, but my surprise is when i try to run the game the auto configuration system says i can play in ultra, but even in medium i'm having lagg, and i don't understand why.

Here you can see my computer details:

Intel® Core™ i5-2320 CPU @ 3.00 GHz
Windows 7 64 bits
8,00 GB ram
Amd Radeon Hd 7670

I have a 6670 which I am sure is the equivalent of a 7670, and I sure don't play on ultra (My CPU is the same speed as yours but a dual core).

I have Vsync turned off, shadows low, decals medium (lowest settings there is) and view distances at medium except for LOD which is at Ultra. I have FXAA on and have 2x AF (And it plays/runs fine for me). So that is what I assume is medium-high settings so try duplicating my settings (Which I would think you can bump them up a notch, though).
